Chris Stratton

Chris is a Missoula native that graduated from Big Sky High School in 1995. He got his start in radio as a technical producer at Townsquare Media in Missoula and was soon working with Pete Denault writing sports stories for air. In 2011 Chris joined the Cherry Creek Radio family as a technical producer for high school sports and began working with Bill Schwanke writing sports stories for the KGRZ Morning Update. In the fall of 2013 Chris began working with Pete Denault and Bill Schwanke doing color commentary for high school football and basketball. During the 2014/2015 high school sports season Chris began doing play by play for both high school football and basketball. After Bill Schwanke retired as the Sports Director at Cherry Creek Radio in Missoula Chris was given the position.

Chris grew up playing soccer and spent his high school years playing for both the Big Sky Eagles and the Missoula Strikers. He has also helped start and manage the Missoula Raptors Semi-Pro Football team where he was in charge of equipment and helped market the team. In addition to helping start the Raptors Chris has played semi-pro football for the Raptors, Glacier Knights, and the Clark Fork Rush.

Chris has a love for his community, especially the local sports athletes that work hard to not only be an all-star at the sport they love, but also who strive to achieve their academic goals.
